This project was designed for the surroundings of Galata Tower, one of the most touristic areas of Istanbul. There is a small square around the Tower, which is insufficient for the demand of the crowds.

I realized that a sloped piece of land used as a car park between the ruins of the old city wall would be advantageous in terms of meeting these demands. In this project, most buildings are buried underground and building roofs are used as squares. Some of the buildings in the project are above-ground only to give reference to the height of the surrounding buildings.
