"The Garden"
The project area, which is located at the heart of BeÅŸiktaÅŸ, is a parking lot. There are centuries-old pine trees in the parking lot. However, these trees can not easily be seen because they are surrounded by old and dull buildings.
The project program consisted of construction of "residential and office buildings" and the demolition of old ones.
When designing this project, my primary goal was to reveal the hidden garden and to make it an area for socializing.
Another goal was to have the office buildings face towards the street, which is more noisy, and the residential blocks to the garden side.
