The construction conditions in Kemaliye, which is located on a slope of 35-45%, brought the houses that developed in the form of two or more floors leading to the Euphrates.

The houses of Kemaliye were built with the local construction technique called "hımış" and were built of rubble stone with wooden beams up to the main floor level and wooden carcass with adobe filling on the main floor and roof floor.

We worked in this area for a study involving 6 traditional houses in different sizes. Each one of them were analysed thoroughly: building surveys, restitution and restoration projects were completed.
